Pitch Music Video

This is the song we used for our music video.

we used this music video because it is a popular song and it has a dance routine sung in the lyrics which allows us to easily choreograph a routine that contrast with the lyrics well , i believe this

Summer Task

Case Studies

Usher ft Young Thug - No Limit

“No Limit” is exceptionally well produced by modern R&B standards.  Vocally, Usher remains a force, his tone is as great as ever.  He delivers a very catchy chorus that draws attention from the audience.
Young Thug’s verse is predictable but provides a change of pace.  That change of pace isn’t dissimilar from past Usher records.  All in all, “No Limit” is something of a return to form for Usher. It should appease hip-hop, R&B, and pop fans of the veteran.
this video is 100% performance based i know this because Usher features  "instagram celebs" (dancers) who went viral rom posting 30 second clips of there moves, they're dancing throughout the whole video which contrasts with the lyrics well and the dancers literally have "no limit" as they perform moves that not many people who be able to recreate
The theme is very urban and retro and appeals to a wide audience of teenagers who are all very interested in all the new dance crazes such as "the whip, naenae, hit the folks etc" all dance moves are featured.
Representation of Usher
Usher is very laid back and cool and brings a lot of swagger and charisma to the video this is nothing new as usher has always been a great performer/singer and never fails to entertain an audience, he shows his his bubbly fun  side and also displays "black excellence" by only having african american performers representing his acknowledgement of "black lives matter" wich is a very positive outlook to have in  such a video in this day and age and most videos are typically shot with ideo girls and nudity .
Representation of young thug
Young thug is represented and the out there out going character in the music video he bring life and quirkiness that is very familiar to any young thug fans out there his verse is very typical however it fits well with the video as there are no limits are young thug is a character who definitely displays he has no limits , for example his new album cover on "JEFFREY" is very controversial (he wears a dress) , so this video portrays his personality well

Rihanna work

"Work" is a song recorded by Barbadian singer Rihanna for her eighth studio album, Anti (2016), featuring rapper Drake, the song was released as the lead single from Anti on January 27, 2016 through Westbury Road and Roc Nation. The song was written by partynextdoor, rihanna, drake, monte moir, Rupert "Sevn" Thomas, Allen Ritter and matthew samuels, and was produced by Boi 1da, Sevn Thomas, Ritter, kuk harrell and Noah "40" Shebib . The dancehall reggae song, contains an interpolation of "if you were here tonight" (1985) performed by Alexander O'neil  Lyrically, the song incorporates themes of working for money, as well as discussing fragile relationships. The song uses jamaican patois  and creole.
the video is performance based and includes several dancers and performers and actors to help create a scene from a typical barbarian night club. drake and rihanna are shot together mostly then have there own scenes that follow there verses. the theme for this video is dancehall reggae then transitions into a more relaxed setting that is romantic and shows two different stories that the song could tell.
Rihanna is represented a sex symbol and is shown wearing next to nothing in the video, however her outfit represents the reggae dancehall culture as the women usually wear similar outfits due to the hot weather and ability to move freely.
drake is represented as a strong male character in the video he is videoed using romantic gestures to show chemistry between the two , the words used within his verses are clearly aimed at a girl (rihanna) showing he is trying to please her and enjoys her company representing him as a gentleman and a pleasant person.
